HYDERABAD: The High Court on Friday dismissed the bail petition of M Gandhi, presiding officer of labour court, who had been arrested earlier by ACB sleuths in a case of disproportionate assets. The ACB also registered a case against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Justice U Durga Prasad Rao dismissed the petition filed by Gandhi seeking bail on the ground that his health was not well and that the investigation was completed and he had to attend the marriage function of a relative.
ACB's standing counsel V Ravi Kiran Rao said an investigation was still in progress and information was awaited from various agencies regarding transactions.
While dismissing the petition, the judge directed the lower court to examine granting bail to the accused between May 4 and 9 to facilitate him to attend his relative's marriage on May 6.
