KOCHI: The Lakshadweep Students Association (LSA) took out a protest march to the Office of the Lakshadweep Administration here on Saturday demanding solution to various problems. The demands include sanctioning of the pending scholarships to Lakshadweep students in a time-bound manner, recruitment to various vacancies in the Education Department, making the ships to Lakshadweep sea-worthy and ensuring allotment to various courses in the beginning of the academic year itself.
Around 60 students took part in the march. Lakshadweep Students Association former general secretary Koya Murthaza inaugurated the march. LSA treasurer Sabeeh Amaan, general secretary Deendar Hussain and Rahmathulla spoke. “After the march, talks were held with the secretary of the Lakshadweep Administration. He has promised to look into the issues,” the LSA leaders said.
