Work on Aluva Metro Station to begin soon

The piling work on the proposed metro station of the Kochi Metro at Aluva will begin next week. Out of the four proposed reaches, the first is the Aluva-Kalamassery segment. The station would come up near the Aluva Municipal private bus stand.

The construction work of the fourth reach of Metro from Ernakulam South to Petta will begin on the first week of next month.

 Soma Constructions, the contractor for the third Metro reach from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Kaloor to Ernakulam South, has already started test piling works at Kacheripady junction. The soil tests for the Metro reach from Ernakulam South to Petta in Tripunithura is progressing. The work on all Metro reaches, except this stretch is currently progressing. The contract for constructing the Metro stretch from Ernakulam South to Petta was bagged by Era Infra Engineering Ltd. Being a new entrant, Era has asked for more time, including the time to bring in machines, to finish the work.
