Amrita Film Awards will be telecasted in the channel on Saturday and Sunday from 7 pm to honour the outstanding contributions of individuals who work on and off the screen of the Malayalam film industry.
The highlights of the function are the performances by singers Lucky Ali, Vijay Yesudas, actors Haricharan, Remya Nambeeshan, Vineeth Srinivasan and dance numbers by Talwar, Suja Naidu and Iniya.
Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to Sreekumaran Thampi for his decades long contribution to the Malayalam film industry as director, scriptwriter and lyricist. Mohanlal is crowned the Best Actor and Kavya Madhavan as Best Actress. Lal Jose is adjudged the Best Director and Biju Menon and Lena for the Best Supporting Actor awards.
