Pallavi Krishnan, a leading exponent of mohiniyattam, will be performing for Kochiites at the TDM hall here on Friday. Pallavi, who is one of the most sought-after mohiniyattam artist, will perform here as part of the ‘Mohiniyattam Sandhya’ organised by the Bank Employee’s cultural wing ‘BEAME’ in association with Ernakulam Karayogam.

The artiste and her team will perform ‘Panchabootha’, based on Sankaracharya’s text ‘Soundarya Lahari’, which was choreographed by  herself. Along with it, other traditional mohiniyattam forms will also be performed in the two hour long event.

Hailing from West Bengal, she was attracted to Kerala’s traditional dance form of mohiniyattam.
