Residents Seek Extension of Bus Service to Varappuzha

Express News Service

KOCHI: Plenty of buses ply to Cheranalloor, but very few run up to Varappuzha, only 3 km away. The Greater Cochin Development Watch (GCDW), an outfit which has successfully raised several social issues, including the Pachalam ROB, has started asking why.

“Most people of Varappuzha and Kadamakkudy panchayats have to commute to Ernakulam city for their day-to-day activities. If some buses that halt at Cheranalloor bus stand ply up to Varapuzha, it will be a great relief  for people,” said Santhosh Jacob, general secretary, GCDW. The outfit has submitted an application to the  RTA committee at the Collectorate.
