Jerry Amaldev's Music to Soothe the Ailing

Well known Malayalam music composer Jerry Amaldev will enthral patients at the Ernakulam Government General Hospital with Malayalam’s most memorable melodies on Wednesday, as part of the Kochi Biennale Foundation’s  Arts and Medicine project.

Well known Malayalam music composer Jerry Amaldev will enthral patients at the Ernakulam Government General Hospital with Malayalam’s most memorable melodies on Wednesday, as part of the Kochi Biennale Foundation’s  Arts and Medicine project. Jerry Amaldev and his team of singers and artistes will perform on the hospital premises at 10.30 am. 

The choir, comprising 20 artistes, have selected soulful and melodious songs for the patients.

Wednesday’s musical treat is eighth in the series of the  programmes held as part of the Arts and Medicine project that was launched by Union Minister K V Thomas last month.

Jerry Amaldev, a three-time Kerala State Award winner, has many hits to his credit including the evergreen songs in his first film Manjil Virinja Pookkal. “It is an honour for the KBF to associate with such a renowned figure of the Malayalam music industry,” KBF research-coordinator Bonny Thomas said. The Foundation is also planning to organise a musical programme by the doctors of the Ernakulam Government General Hospital shortly.
