5 Schools to Get Smart Classrooms

KOCHI: Capstocks and Securities, a leading stock broking and financial company, as a part of its 25th anniversary celebrations will give away smart classroom equipment to five needy schools across the state.  Rajendran V, managing director, Capstocks, said the company is donating smart classrooms to Government VHSS, Kuttichira, Kozhikode; Government RSRV HS, Veloor, Thrissur; Sree Mookambika School for Deaf and Dumb, Vazhuthacaud, Thiruvananthapuram; Government Central High School, Attakulangara and Government TDLPS School, Thuravoor, Alappuzha. As part of the project, Achuthsankar S Nair, Director, Centre for Bioinformatics, University of Kerala, inaugurated the smart classroom set up at Government Central High School in Attakulangara.

Sujatha, DEO, Thiruvananthapuram, officially switched on the smart class. Jayakanth Narayan, Assistant vice-president, Capstocks; Headmistress Susan and Syamala, BRC, BPO South, were also present on the occasion.

In another function, Jayakanth Narayan, AVP, Capstocks, handed over the smart classroom kit to Remadevi, Headmistress, TDLP School Thuravoor, Alappuzha. “The inauguration of smart classrooms in schools of Kozhikode and Thrissur will be held on Wednesday while the one in Vazhuthacaud will be held on November 10,” Rajendran said. The smart classroom project is in addition to the financial help provided by the company to a few needy cancer patients in the state, in connection with its 25th anniversary.
