Goethe-Zentrum opens in Kochi

KOCHI: The Goethe-Zentrum Trivandrum, which offers German language classes, will open a branch in Kochi.

The centre will be located opposite to the Lotus Club on Warriam Road.

It will have state-of-the-art facilities to offer German language courses as per the norms laid out by the European Framework of Reference for Languages. The centre will have two classrooms and a reading room. More facilities will be added gradually at the centre.

The centre will be inaugurated on February 23 by the director of Goethe-Institute in Bangalore, Christoph Bertrams. German Deputy  Consul General Andrea Christ will attend.

Well-known tabla exponent from Germany, Florian Schiertz and drummer Wolfram Winkel will perform at the inauguration function of the centre at the Lotus Club, together with the eminent violin artist Swetha Sivan from  Thiruvananthapuram.
