17th Asianet Film Awards Presented

KOCHI: The 17th ‘Asianet Film Awards’ was held at the Cochin Port Trust stadium at Willingdon Island here on Sunday. The Best Film Award was presented to Amal Neerad’s ‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’.

Anjali Menon received the Best Director Award for her multi-starrer ‘Bangalore Days’, which also bagged the award for the most popular film. While Mammootty received the Best Actor Award for his performance in the film ‘Varsham’, Manju Warrier was honoured with the Best Actress Award for the Rosshan Andrrews-film ‘How Old Are You’. Jayasurya won the Best Villain Award, and Suraj Venjarammoodu received the Best Comedian Award for the year. On the occasion, Mohanlal and Mukesh were honoured.
