Fr Varghese Kattuparambil Passes Away

KOCHI: Fr Varghese Kattuparambil, 61, of Ernakulam-Angamali Archdiocese died on Friday. Since 2012, he had been serving as the vicar of St Mary’s Forane Church, Tripunithura. 

He had served at Kadavanthra, Kodanad, Edappally, Mattoor, Vengoor and Edayyaszham parishes. He had also served as professor at Mangalapuzha Seminary, vice-rector of SH Minor Seminary Thrikkakara, director of Social Service under Ernakulam-Angamali diocese, director of Renewal Centre, Principal of Marymatha College, Njarakkal, director of Kerala Social Service Forum, secretary of Catholic Health Association of India and governing board member of Caritas India.

The body will be kept at Tripunithura Forane Church from 6 am to 8.30 am  and then at his residence at Kadavanthra from 9 am to 12 noon. The funeral will be held at St Joseph’s Church, Kadavanthra.
