Express News Service

KOCHI: For those looking for an opportunity to learn glass-etching techniques, here is the perfect opportunity.  A one-day workshop on the art will be held at Ashir Bhavan in Kacheripady on May 16.

The classes will be held by Austin Henry, a NRI businessman with around

25 years in the art. He specialises in art and decorative glass works and has developed a glass-etching cream as well.

“Etching with the glass etching cream gives meticulous hobbyists a wonderful opportunity to earn money and artists an inspiration. Besides, etching vehicle identification numbers on vehicle glass is a clever anti-theft measure as well as a remunerative business proposition. Also, there is not much avenues in Kochi where one can learn the craft,” says Austin.

He has conducted a workshop in stained glass along with a German expert, Stephan Kern, in 2000.
