Documentary Screening

Express News Service

Alliance Française de Trivandrum is will be presenting The Invisible (R)evolutions (L’urgence de ralentir), special screening and conversation with French director Philippe Borrel on September 20. In the global era, speed and short term have become the rule in our societies. Stressed out by the technological and financial acceleration, we are trying to keep up a rhythm which will end in predictable ecological, economical and social disasters.

The documentary  recounts stories about citizens of the world who have chosen not to give in to this norm of immediacy. Individually or collectively, they experiment with local and concrete alternatives to the traditional concept of growth at any cost and rhythm. Every day, in Europe, South-America or India, they work to give back meaning to “Time”. The screening starts at 6 pm. For more information, please contact: culture.trivandrum@afindia.org
