KOCHI:The city on Monday bid adieu to cinematographer Anandakuttan who passed away on Sunday. The body of Anandakuttan was cremated at the Ravipuram crematorium, after his colleagues, relatives and the general public paid their last respects. The cinematographer’s son Sreekumar performed the last rites.
Directors Fazil, Sibi Malayil, Kamal, Rajeev Ravi, Rafi, Satyan Anthikkad, Sidhique; actors Kunchacko Boban, Sadique, Suresh Krishna, Janardhanan, Aby, Manju Warrier; cameramen Ramachandra Babu, Sunny Joseph and Saloo George and many prominent personalities from the filmdom paid homage to Anandakuttan who cranked the camera for some of the super hit Mollywood movies.
He had been fighting cancer for the last eight months. Anandakuttan had handled camera for nearly 300 movies in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
