ISDC launches ACCA certified courses in Kerala

KOCHI: The International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC)  has joined hands  with the UK-based Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to launch ACCA certified learning centres in Kerala. And the first ISDC Direct centre was launched on Monday at a function here, which was attended by ACCA emerging markets director Lucia Real Martin.

‘’ACCA, as a leading professional body for accountants, is committed to help enrich young people’s careers, organisations and society, with the professional skills required for finance professionals to contribute to economic growth and development, in India and around the world, Lucia said at a presser convened ahead of the function.  

SDC Direct offers cost- effective assistance for ACCA certification. If a candidate directly attempts to secure certification, the cost, including exam fee and others, will come to around `4.5 Lakh.  Through the collaboration, ISDC Direct  offers  the same training at around `2.2 lakh,’’ said Mohammed Sajid Khan, ACCA head of international development, adding, ‘’ Through this collaboration, we aim to offer increased accessibility to ACCA qualification to those, who through ambition and application, wish to become professionally qualified ACCA”.

‘’ ISDC Direct will be offering ACCA qualification at its centres in Bengaluru, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, Kochi, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram as well as through its support centres in Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi. The plan is to open 100 centres in Kerala,’’ said ISDC Direct dean Pravinth Rajratnam.
