L Expertians, Simplifying the Legal Process for Common Litigants

Saritha S Balan

KOCHI:  Often an ordinary litigant finds the judicial procedure a prolonged and labyrinthine affair. Now, L Expertians, a newly launched legal firm, offers to simplify the process for a litigant - individual or corporate.

L Expertians has incorporated a pool of junior lawyers, who otherwise have to wait for years to get a career break, in their team in their endeavour to bring clarity to the judicial process for the benefit of the litigants.  ‘Lexsoft’ - a software developed by a Technopark firm and upgraded as per the demands of the L Expertians will do the whole exercise by proper delegations and division of labour.

The firm has a para-legal department which will ensure the customer gets proper technological support.

“The firm aims to bring a smile to the face of an ordinary litigant. The litigants are assured that they are interacting with the best lawyer in the industry. Unethical or unnecessary litigation practice is nowhere in its literature. You can expect a ‘yes’ or a vehement ‘no’ in all its advices. Absolute clarity and transparency is the rule,” claims Shine, an international business consultant from Kollam, who is the CEO of the firm. Advocates Johnson Gomez and C Unnikrishanan are its managing partners.

“The whole concept is to make legal profession customer friendly and to take out the pressure from both the client and the lawyer,” added Shine.

The concept is arguably a pioneering one in the state.  “For us, client is of prime importance and we will bring great transparency”, says Unnikrishnan, counsel of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan.

Legal educator N R Madhava Menon, from whom the firm seeks advice, said such an initiative would bring in great difference in the legal system.
