Shifa Al Jazeera Group to Open Hospital in Oman

KOCHI: Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group, founded by Dr K T Mohammed Rabeeh Rabeeulla, a native of East Kodur in Malappuram district, has announced the opening of their first hospital in Oman. The group, a leading name amongst the health care service providers, is already present in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait. The group’s premium polyclinic in Al Khuwair, Oman, is scheduled for launch on June 24 and will be glistened by Malayalam film industry mega star Mammootty, a release said here.

Started off 30 years ago with a tiny clinic, Dr Rabeeh’s group is today offering services through 20 healthcare units, one hospital and as many pharmacies in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. It has set up a company in Dubai producing medical equipment and other medical disposable items.

Five lakh special medical care cards will be distributed from Al Khuwair polyclinic. This card will be entitled to get 20 per cent discount for X-Ray, and lab tests at Al Ruwi access hospital, it said.

In October the group also plans to expand their services by presenting Shifa Al Jazeera Access Hospital in Ruwi, Oman. The event will also witness the presence of Mammootty along with leading cine artist Dulquer Salman, singer Shreya Goshal and Industries Minister and IUML leader P K Kunhalikutty.

In addition, a new hospital project is planning to be constructed at Al Qood in 2017.Furthermore, 10 premium polyclinics will be opened for public on January 1st, 2017 at Amirat, Al Ghobra, Mbelah, Sur, Ibra, Boraimi, Sohar, Falaj, Saham and Nizwa in the name Badar Al Thamam polyclinic which will be inaugurated by Minister Dr MK Muneer in the presence of Mammootty.
