Dancer Santhi Bijibal, 36, wife of music director Bijibal, passed away following a cerebral haemorrhage at a private hospital here on Tuesday.

KOCHI: Dancer Santhi Bijibal, 36, wife of music director Bijibal, passed away following a cerebral haemorrhage at a private hospital here on Tuesday. She had suffered a stroke a few days ago and her condition worsened by Monday evening.

A classical dance teacher, Santhi has a large number of disciples.

Released in January, her album titled ‘Sakaladeva Nuthe’, whose music was composed by Bijibal, was a big hit. She had choreographed and presented classical dance for the album, an original Sanskrit composition on Goddess Saraswathi. 

Born to Mohandas and Nalini, Santhi married Bijibal in 2002. They have two children - Devadattan and Daya. The cremation will be held at Edappally crematorium at noon on Wednesday.
