Congress MLA wrongly says Bhagat Singh hanged on Feb 14

KOCHI: Congress MLA  Eldhose Kunnappilly was caught in a gaffe on Tuesday when he posted an embarrassing Valentine's Day wish on Facebook.

According to his FB post which he posted in Malayalam, the MLA from Perumbavoor claimed that the legendary Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged on February 14 and he expressed his Valentine's wishes by remembering the legends.

The MLA, who is also former Ernnakulam district Panchayat president, posted the embarrassing post, which went viral at 1 pm. 

Minutes after the post, the MLA received comments that the post was fake. Commentors also posted the original birth and death dates of the three legends.

He soon deleted the post. Though Express tried to contact the MLA he was unavailable for comment.
