KOCHI: A person who is not capable of managing himself and controlling his mind will not be able to manage a group, said mystic and visionary Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.

He was speaking at the inaugural session of the 36th Annual National Management Convention organised by the Kerala Management Association here on Thursday, on the topic Changing India - New paradigms.

Stressing the importance of effective management in the country’s growth, Sadhguru said, “a nation’s success is not measured on the basis of its military power or political strength, but on the basis of the volume of business. For successful business enterprises, we need successful managers.”

“A manager should not restrict his role to management of resources alone. A good manager should learn to manage himself, and his control over mind will lead him to success. Hence, it is important to nurture management as a culture,” he said.
