THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 18th death anniversary of Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the erstwhile ruler of Travancore, will be observed on July 20.
Garuda Kala Samskarika Samithi, an organisation of the employees of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, will organise various programmes at a special venue at the east nada of the temple from 8 a.m. on July 20 to the morning on July 21.
Temple executive officer Col P.R.G.Nair and Suri and co. owner N.Subbaiah will light the ceremonial lamp. Day and night Ramayana recital, commemorative meeting etc. will also be held.
N.Sakthan MLA will inaugurate the commemorative meeting. Police IG V.Santharam will deliver the keynote address. Music concert by Bhavana Radhakrishnan will be held in the evening.
