Cartoon exhibition on PM begins

The two-day Manmohan Singh 123 Cartoon/Caricature Exhibition by Kerala Cartoon Academy began at the YMCA Hall.

PATHANAMTHITTA: The two-day cartoon exhibition, styled Prime Minister Manmohan Singh 123 Cartoon/Caricature Exhibition, organised by the Kerala Cartoon Academy in association with the YMCA International Youth Centre began at the YMCA Hall here on Monday.

Cartoonist Nathan inaugurated the exhibition by drawing a cartoon.

Kerala Cartoon Academy chairman Prasannan Anicadu presided over the meeting.

YMCA International Youth Centre chairman Lebi Philip Mathew, K.A. Idicula, Fr Jose Purmadhom and Biju Chandran spoke.

Around 120 cartoons on nuclear deal with the US by internationally-renowned cartoonists such as R.K. Laxman, Kutty and Byra depicting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in a humourous manner are on the display.

The exhibition will conclude on Tuesday afternoon.
