PATHANAMTHITTA: Kuriakose Mar Clemis on Thursday assumed charge as the new metropolitan of the Thumpamon diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church.
Catholicos-designate Paulose Mar Milithios presided over the function to mark the occasion held at Basel Aramana here.

Before taking charge as the head of the Thumpamon diocese, Kuriakose Mar Clemis was the metropolitan of Sulthan Bathery diocese.
