Friends of journalist Rajesh Kumar brought out a collection of works by the late journalist, as a tribute to him.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: On the first death anniversary of former ‘Madhyamam’ journalist G. Rajesh Kumar on Sunday, his friends brought out ‘Namuthu Vazhvum Kalavum’, a collection of works by the late journalist and the reminiscences by his friends, as a tribute to him.

 Apart from the reminiscences by his friends, the collection has a large collection of his works, which are included in five parts.

 The first part, ‘Keralathinte Varthamanangal’, is a collection of serious articles and interviews published in ‘Madhayamam’ daily and weekly. The second part contains news reports and articles on Education, the beat covered by Rajesh. The third contains selected pieces from the Assembly analysis column written by him. The fourth part contains selections from ‘Namuthu Vazhvum Kalavum’, the weekly column handled by Rajesh in ‘Madhyamam’ daily. The fifth part has  items from the three columns handled by Rajesh during the last Assembly elections, namely ‘Asadhu’, ‘Thattakam thedy’ and ‘Aramana rahasyam’.

 Veteran journalist and human rights activist B.R.P. Bhaskar released the book by handing over a copy to Kerala Press Academy chairman G. Sakthidharan. KUWJ general secretary N. Padmanabhan presided over the function.
