THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: RSP general secretary T.J.Chandrachoodan has said that he never used to air personal opinion in the public forums.

Replying to questions at a press conference after the central secretariat and central committee meetings of the party, Chandrachoodan said that whatever he said the other day about the governance in Kerala was the opinion of the party.

“I can’t convene the party committees before every speech. As general secretary, I have the power to air party stand in speeches. I am only using that power,’’ said Chandrachoodan.

RSP state secretary V.P.Ramakrishna Pillai criticised Chandrachoodan the other day for his anti-government remarks and said they were his  personal opinions.

When pointed out this, Chandrachoodan said he levelled a constructive criticism about the intelligence failure of the state police.

“I wanted to correct. It is ridiculous to say that the police didn’t have any information regarding the activities of organisations like DHRM,’’ said Chandrachoodan.

To repeated questions regarding the comments of Ramakrishna Pillai, Chandrachoodan said he wouldn’t stoop down below a level.
