THIRUVANATHAPURAM: Sudhi Narayan has won the Kerala state television awards for the best documentary direction for his documentary, ‘Lives Less Ordinary’. The documentary is a true incident shot on the life of Poet A Ayyappan. The plot revolves around three protagonists - Ayyappan, his friend Sathyan and Sathyan’s wife Jennifer.

Ayyapan was amazingly rigorous in his poetic expression. Often the street was his home. The documentary brings to light Ayyappan’s bohemian life style.

The documentary is all about the feelings shared between the three, their friendship, love, understanding, honesty and frankness.

The documentary ends with the interwoven moments of the poet’s life and death.

Sudhi is currently a senior television producer in Rosebowl channel. He has five documentaries to his credit. He has directed and scripted more than 1,000 episodes of television programmes.

He had won the award for best Musical Album director at the Kerala Film

Critics Awards, 2007. He also had won award for the Best Television Director of Sathyan Smaraka National Film Awards, 2008.
