THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A unique ‘satsang’ attended by 30 ‘sanyasis’ from various Ashrams in north India will be held at the Sadhu Gopala Swami Samadhi at Munnammoodu, Vattiyoorkavu, from December 9 to 12.

The participants are scholars in the Advaita philosophy, according to a statement issued here. Swami Medhananda, the Vedanta acharya of Kailas Ashram, Rishikesh; Swami Sharvananda from Uttarkashi and Umeshwar Devji from Rishikesh are among the participants.

Swami Medhananda will preside over the four-day event. Swami Haribrahmananda aka Kutty Swami of Adi Sankara Brahmavidya Peetham, Uttarakasi - he is a Malayali - will guide the proceedings.

There will be readings from the ten Upanishads, Brahmasutra and the Bhagavad Gita. There will also be classes and topic-based discussions. The lectures will be conducted in Malayalam, Hindi and English. For details, call 9447974700.
