THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The citizens’ charter of the Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB) was released here on Tuesday by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy by handing over a copy to Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty.

 Formation of Biodiversity Conservation Committees and the creation of ‘biodiversity registers’ being the primary duty of the Board, conservation of wetlands and paddy fields will also be given due importance, said a press release from KSBB member secretary K P Laladhas. Besides spreading environmental awareness, organising children’s conferences and training for the judiciary and the media are also on the list of programmes planned by the Board.
