This election, the BJP seems to have come up with some fresh ideas to promote its candidate in Thiruvananthapuram, O Rajagopal. First, it was a ‘Kathaprasangam’ on Narendra Modi’s life and why everyone should vote for Rajagopal. And now, it’s an illustrated biography of Rajagopal.

‘O Rajagopal: Karapuralatha Karmayogi’ tells the story of the veteran politician in 20 illustrated pages, right from his birth as the son of Madhavan Nair and Kunhikkavamma. It takes the reader through his school and college days and the initial days in the Jan Sangh and later as a BJP man.

The ‘Chitra Katha’ relates his achievements as Minister of State and the contributions he made to Kerala. The slim volume even has the comments made by various political and other personalities, including Defence Minister A K Antony and Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, on Rajagopal on various occasions. The story comes to an end with a call to make the lotus bloom this time.
