THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kakkamoola near Vellayani stands carpeted in red and green. A land of spinach cultivators, the village produces ninety percent of the red and green leaves that reach city markets. You will find acres of spinach farms as it’s the most preferred crop of the cultivators there. They find it ideal as the plants are ready for harvest within the shortest time span of thirty days.
