THIRUVANANTHAPURAM :  The State television awards were declared on Tuesday. ‘Vazhthapeeta Mariam Tresia- kudumbangalude madyastha’ directed by Sibi Yogyaveedan (Shalom TV) has bagged the award for the best teleserial.

Nithuna Nevil Dinesh has been selected for  the best director award for ‘Make up’. Salim Kumar in ‘Parethante Paribhavangal’ (Jai Hind TV) is the best actor. Arun Krishnan is the second best actor for his role in ‘Make up’. Shreekala has been selected as the best actress for her role in ‘Make up’ and Jisbi Poulose was selected as second best actress for her role in ‘Vazhtapetta Mariam Tresia - Kudumbangalude Madyastha’. Tanha Tabas and Aganya Narayanan have been selected as the best child artistes for their role in ‘Toramazha’.

‘Indulekha’ directed by Muhammadkutty is the second best teleserial. ‘Make-up’ directed by Nithuna Nevil Dinesh is the best tele-film (20 minutes). Nithuna Nevil Dinesh has been selected as the best scriptwriter. ‘Kutty Patturumal’ (Kairali TV) is the best entertainment programme, The best comedy programme is ‘Thatteem Mutteem’ of Mazhavil Manorama directed by R Unnikrishnan.

Niyas Bakker in ‘Marimayam’ (Mazhavil Manorama) is the best comedian. Satheesan R in his role in ‘Indulekha’ is the best dubbing artiste. Angel Shijoy has been selected as best female dubbing artiste   in ‘Vazhthapetta Mariam Tresia - Kudumbangalude Madhyastha’. ‘Thoramazha’ bagged the award for best short film for children.

‘Pollunna jeevithangal - akalangalile India’ of Asianet News has been selected as the best documentary.

‘Indian cinemayude 100 varshangal’ (P K Nair), ‘Kottarakkara Ganga’ of Asianet News were selected as the best documentary (biography) and best documentary (women and children) respectively.

‘Anthareeksha pratibhasangal’ of Victers channel has been selected as the best educational programme.

The awards for the best anchor of educational programme and best educational programme (producer) were bagged by Parvathy Kuriakose for ‘Nalla Padam’ (Manorama News) and Jayamohan Nair. M P Vijayan of Jeevan TV has been selected as the best cameraman for the programme’ ‘Snehanayakan’.

Subitha Sukumar of Jeevan TV has been selected as the best news anchor and Aneesh Ravi of Media One is the best anchor.

Abhijith B of Jai Hind TV was selected as the best anchor/interviewer. Sunil Baby and Sajith Ajmal of Media One bagged the award for best investigative journalism.

Akam puram’ of Mathrubhumi News is the best TV show (current affairs).
