Filca Awards for Campus Films

‘The Weekend’ directed by E Arun Babu of MG College won the Filca award in the feature film category in the Campus Film Festival held  recently in the city. ‘Victim of Laurel’ by P K Ashab Ayub and Mansoor Ali of MBL Media School, Kozhikode won the award in the documentary section.

FILCA organised the festival as part of the 15th Filca International Film Festival to be held in the city from April 15. The second prize in feature film category was awarded to ‘How Much’ directed by Lalby of Sree Sankara College, Kalady. ‘Twinkling Stars of Arabian Sea’ by Meera Poovaatil of Christ Nagar School won the prize in documentary section.  The awards will be presented at the inaugural ceremony of the Filca International Film Fest. The first and second prize winners will receive a cash prize of Rs 7500 and Rs 5000 respectively.
