THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Police Quash Academy and Kerala State Squash Association is organising a summer coaching camp at the Squash Complex adjacent to the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Palayam. The camp, conducted by state and national level coaches, will be held from 10 am to 4 pm. Those trainees who do well during the camp will be selected for regular coaching at the Squash Complex. “There is a fresh interest in the sport of squash in Kerala especially after the 35th National Games which was held here last year,” said Subhash George, sports coordinator for Kerala Police. “There are also moves to include squash as a discipline in national school sports which will again help the sport to rise in popularity,” he added. He said that people aged between 10 and 60 years have been receiving regular training at the Squash Complex for the last one year.
