THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mata Amritanandamayi offered darshan to devotees at the Kaimanam Ashramam on Wednesday. Satsangs, bhajans and meditation sessions marked the day followed by darshan which continued till late in the night.

She touched upon the issue of stray dog menace, terrorism and drug menace on campuses in her address to the devotees. She had a different viewpoint when it came to stray dog issue which was one of the most discussed issues last year.

“Dogs lack the faculty of discernment and thus it is understandable that they can bite people. However, here we have human beings who are supposed to be fully endowed with the intellectual faculty and they are still ready to tear each other apart,” Amma said.

She concluded her speech with the following words: “May my children’s hearts be filled with the selfless divine love. May divine grace be always upon all of you.” ‘Darshan’ will continue on Thursday after ‘satsangs,’ ‘bhajans’ and meditation. Amma will leave for Kanyakumari on Friday for consecrating the Bharat Mata temple at Vivekananda Kendra and dedicating it to the nation on Saturday.
