THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Protests by the Opposition Congress against the LDF Government’s alleged failures and anti-people policies will be staged in front of the state Secretariat and 13 district collectorates from 10 am on Monday.

The protests are about the failure to tackle fever outbreaks, fee hike in self-financing education sector, denial of ration cards to deserving sections and promoting liquor consumption.

Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the Secretariat dharna. Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala and KPCC acting president M M Hassan will lead the dharnas at Palakkad and Pathanamthitta.

Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan (Kollam), V D Satheesan (Alappuzha), Kodikunnil Suresh (Kottayam), P P Thankachan (Idukki),K C Venugopal (Ernakulam),P C Chacko (Thrissur), K Sudhakaran (Malappuram), Aryadan Mohammed (Kozhikode),K Muraleedharan (Wayanad),Benny Behanan(Kannur) and K C Joseph (Kasargod) will lead the protest.
