VIJAYAWADA:   The new dormitory complex of Goddess Kanaka Durga temple constructed at a cost of Rs 8.95 crore on the premises of CV Reddy Charities land was inaugurated on Monday by Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao. Speaking on the occasion, Manikyala Rao said that department was at the forefront of providing all the facilities at major temples across the State for the convenience of the devotees. 

The dormitory was constructed to provide free accommodation for at least 400 devotees visiting the Indrakeeladri from other parts of the country. On the occasion, he also instructed the temple executive officer A Surya Kumari to implement plans for improving the facilities at the temple without comprising on the quality. MLC Buddha Venkanna, Endowment Commissioner Anuradha, Principal Secretary (endowments) Manmohan Singh, Temple Trust Board Chairman Y Gouranga Babu and others were also present.
