Amit Shah arrives in Vijayawada to address booth committee member convention

The BJP chief is on a one-day visit to Vijayawada to address the party workers as part of the party’s 'nationwide outreach’ exercise.

VIJAYAWADA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Thursday arrived in Vijayawada to address booth committee member convention ‘Maha Sammelan’ to be held at Siddhartha Medical College Grounds in the evening.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu accompanied Amit Shah from Hyderabad, who had been on a Telangana tour for the last few days. Soon after landing at Gannavaram Airport, the BJP national chief along with Union ministers Suresh Prabhu and M Venkaiah Naidu flagged off the five Advanced Life Support Ambulances.

Amit Shah, accompanied by Venkaiah Naidu visited Swarna Bharathi trust at Atkuru.

Elaborate arrangements were made by the party cadres to welcome Shah to the city. The National Highway between Ramavarappadu and Gannavaram Airport witnessed hundreds of welcome banners. A first of its kind horse chariot procession in the city is also being planned from Labbipet to the meeting venue along with a two wheeler rally, said sources.
