Hyderabad techie, woman found dead in Krishna

VIJAYAWADA: The Bhavanipuram Police recovered bodies of a man and a woman from Krishna River near Dr KL Rao Head Water Works on Wednesday.

According to Bhavanipuram Sub Inspector Srinivasa Rao, workers of SOMA company found the bodies and relayed the information at around 12 noon, prompting the officials to reach the spot.  
No injury marks were found on the bodies during the preliminary investigation, police said.  

The deceased man was identified as software engineer Velaga Manikanta, a resident of Chanda Nagar, Hyderabad.“We suspect that Manikanta committed suicide four days ago as the body was found floated. The information was given to his parents. It is came to know that he was depressed. He went missing a few days ago,” he said.

“With no identification of the deceased woman, officials conducted enquiries in the nearby colonies to ascertain the name of dead person, but in vain. The bodies were sent to the Government General Hospital for  post-mortem,” Rao added.A case has been registered and investigation is on.
