VIJAYAWADA: A second year MPC student of Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Nidamanuru village reportedly went missing since Friday. The incident came to light after the student’s father lodged a complaint with Patamata police. However, his father claimed that there is no pressure from the college management.

According to Patamata circle inspector K Damodhar, the missing student Talluri Bala Ganesh Mohan reportedly went to Vijayawada a week ago for a health checkup and returned to his hostel on the same day. He further told his father T Srinivasa Rao, a businessman in Tadepalligudem, that doctors gave him prescriptions and requested him to visit them this Sunday.

On November 3, Mohan fled from the college by jumping from the wall in the morning. “Earlier, his classmates thought that he will be in the sick room. But later, they learnt that he escaped from college. The management alerted his parents and asked his relatives in Vijayawada and Rajamundry to inform both police and the college management if he comes to their house. We will trace him as soon as possible. So far, there is no correspondence from the boy,” said CI Damodhar.
