VIJAYAWADA: Mumbai-based ITM Group of Institutions launched Integrated Design and Manufacturing Training Programme with Robotics and Automation at a programme held at Swarna Bharat Trust at Atkur in the district on Tuesday. The programme was aimed at providing better opportunities for youth by giving a push to start-ups and Make in India campaign.

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, AP Skill Development Corporation director K Lakshmi Narayana, ITM Group of Institutions CEO Nitin Putcha and others participated in the event. Speaking on the occasion, ITM Group of Institutions chairman P V Ramana said that the training programme will focus on integrated design, CNC manufacturing, robotics and integrated design to actual machining of the object.

The programme will also help companies innovate through integrated design system and stronger manufacturing strategy. “It is uniquely designed where the students will be imparted job-oriented skills. The major objective behind this initiative is to bring in a comprehensive skill development programme through high-end technical labs for a new generation workforce,” he added.
