Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of using his arrest to topple his party-led governments in Delhi and Punjab.

Addressing his party's MLAs in Delhi on Sunday, Kejriwal asserted that the BJP's plan to break the party had failed and that the AAP became "more united" after his arrest.

"BJP people would say before my arrest that they will break the party and topple the governments in Delhi and Punjab," he said.

"They had a plan that they will arrest me, break the party and topple the government in Delhi and then in Punjab as well. After arrest, their plan failed. You all did not break," Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal noted that the country's political narrative was against his party, but they could not weaken it as the members stood united. The Delhi CM also told his MLAs that he has to go back to jail on June 2 and they all should take care of the party once he is lodged back in jail.

Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on Friday after he was arrested by the Enforcement on March 21 in a money laundering case linked to the now-defunct Delhi excise policy for 2021–2022.

And a day after his release, the AAP chief launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging he was on a "one nation, one leader" mission to impose "dictatorship" by putting all opposition leaders behind bars and "politically finishing off" those in the BJP.
