Renil’s parents are settled in the UAE while the 13-year-old stays at his grandparents’ house in Kottayam and pursues his studies in a reputed private school. For the past few years, Renil’s parents were quite anxious about the teenager’s studies. But not any more. Thanks to a new mobile app called MySchool which gives them day-to-day updates about their child’s activities in school. Developed by Kottayam-based Biospace Technologies Pvt Ltd, MySchool mobile app gives parents notifications relating to attendance, homework, results, notifications, school calendar and teacher’s daily remarks.

Circulars and Notices
Instant alerts on any circular/notice from the school and also a complete archive thereof with the option of attachment download.

Daily Homework
Now homework given by subject teachers is just a click away on your mobile with due date, description and download option.

Exam Results
As soon as results are declared at school, parents can view and download the progress report card on their mobile.
The mobile app was developed towards the end of 2015 by a six-member team led by Biospace Technologies Managing Director Sebin P Kurien. New features are added to the app and it is  upgraded on a periodic basis.
“At present, school teachers convey instructions to parents or guardians of students through SMS or school calender. But almost 90 per cent of the parents do not read them. MySchool mobile app instantaneously conveys instructions from school as push notifications to the parents who may be anywhere in the world,” Sebin said. Since the app supports 216 languages including Indian and foreign, its developers are hopeful of a global market opening up for MySchool in the near future.
