Case Against Pallam Raju for Campaigning Beyond Time Limit

A case has been registered against the Union Minister M M Pallam Raju for violation of election norms, police said Thursday.

A case has been registered against the Union Minister M M Pallam Raju for violation of election norms, police said Thursday.

"On the basis of a newspaper report, we registered a case for violation of election code on May 5. He allegedly campaigned at the Government General Hospital, Kakinada, after the stipulated closing hour for the campaign," said a police officer.

Raju, a Union HRD Minister, is contesting from Kakinada Parliamentary constituency, where election was held Wednesday.
