THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP national secretary Anil Antony has said people across the country have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that the party is expanding its footprint in all states, including Kerala. He was responding to his father and veteran Congress leader A K Antony’s remark that the BJP is a “dangerous outfit”.

Anil said individuals may hold differing views, but such opinions are not endorsed by the public. “People have full trust in Modi and the BJP, which has been evident for some time. Modi was elected prime minister for a third consecutive term in 2024. The NDA is in power in 21 states, with the BJP directly ruling 15,” he said.

On the FCRA Amendment Bill, he said the legislation was brought in to address national security and law and order concerns. “The Opposition is opposing it in view of the elections in Kerala, much like its stand on the Citizenship Amendment Act and the Waqf Bill,” he said.
