Ravi Shankar Prasad Promises to Make Puducherry a Hub of IT Education and Development

PUDUCHERRY: Exhorting the people to vote the BJP and bring it to power in the UT for providing a transparent and corruption free administration, Union minister for Communications and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad today promised to make Puducherry a hub of IT education and development, link rivers and conduct local body elections.

Addressing a public meeting here this evening to introduce the BJP candidates contesting for the May 16 assembly elections here and to canvass for them, Prasad said that there would be extra focus on IT and special dole would be given for manufacturing of IT products.

In a hard hitting speech against the previous  Congress-DMK government on the 2G scam,coal scam helicopter scam among others, Prasad said that there was scams everywhere in the previous governments, that not even a single black mark was given to the BJP government during the two years of `transparent corruption free’ administration he said. Citing that the Italian court had convicted and prosecuted those who gave bribe in the3500 crore AgustaWestland helicopter scam, Prasad asked whether those who accepted the bribe need not be prosecuted or not? Similarly against the AIADMK government in Tamilnadu also there are allegations of corruption and development stopped.” Be it the Congress of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, V Narayanasany, or the DMK or Chief minister N Rangasamy there are corruptions everywhere”, said Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Only BJP could provide a good governance here if voted to power, he said .
