India my father's country, nobody can force me to flee: Asaduddin Owaisi

Speaking at an election rally of BJP earlier in the day at Tandur, Adityanath had said that if his party comes to power in Telangana, Owaisi will flee the way Nizam had to flee Hyderabad.

HYDERABAD: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had to give a lesson in history for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who claimed that the Nizam was chased out of Hyderabad. “He is weak in history and his statements reflect PM Narendra Modi’s thought,” Owaisi said while reacting to Adityanath’s statements that Owaisi would be chased out of Hyderabad when BJP comes to power.

“If you don’t read... If you are bad in history... you should have asked someone who is well read. Then, you would have known that Nizam did not leave. He was made the Rajpramukh. When India went into war with China, Nizam donated his golds to fund the Army,”

“If you are willing, then I can take you to the Nizam’s grave. But who knows, you might change its name too,” he mocked at Adityanath’s efforts to rename places in Uttar Pradesh.Responding to personal attacks, Owaisi said: “It is my religious belief that when Prophet Adam descended on Earth from Paradise, he came to India. Thus, Hindustan is my father’s country. I am and will remain a Hindustani Muslim. Nobody can chase me out of here.” He asked Adityanath to address issues in his own State first. “Every year hundreds of children die in Adityanath’s constituency of encephalitis. There is no oxygen in the hospitals of Gorakhpur. Instead of addressing these issues, you are here...” he mocked.

Earlier too, the duo had heated exchanges. Yogi Adityanath’s recent statement that the Congress needs just the votes of Muslims, had irked Owaisi.“You keep your Ali, for us Bajrang Bali will be enough,” the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister had reportedly said. Owaisi hit back then saying: “Ali is a successor of the Prophet Muhammad.”
