MAHABUBNAGAR: As part of his campaign to strengthen the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district, KT Rama Rao has reached Kalwakurthy constituency to address the Praja Ashirwada Sabha on Thursday.

Describing the forthcoming Assembly elections as a decisive moment for the people of the constituency, he said: “These elections are very crucial for the future of Telangana and the people.

Speaking in the presence of party’s Kalwakurthy candidate Jaipal Yadav and other leaders, he said: “It is a decisive moment. KCR’s neella or Kutami kanneella? (KCR’s water or grand alliance’s tears?) You make the choice.”

Speaking specifically about the constituency, he said: “Kalwakurthy constituency has a historic background and once upon a time famous personalities like NTR (TDP founder and former chief minister of united AP) were defeated for underestimating the people of Kalwakurthy.”

Stating that ‘now people have a very good political awareness’, he urged them to think wisely before casting their vote. “In the past four years, TRS government is the only government in India that has implemented various welfare and development schemes for the sake of people. Now the opposing parties want to dethrone KCR. Why? Is it because of implementing historic welfare and development schemes? The opposition parties are unable to digest that fact that Telangana is developing at a rapid pace. They are making a hue and cry only to mislead the people,” he added.

He alleged that Congress leaders are unable to accept the development of the Palamuru people and shedding crocodile tears, creating hurdles in the way of development projects.  He also promised that if their party retains power, it will increase the Aasara pension from `1,000 to `2,116 with effect from Dec 13.
