Disney Pixar’s Cars 3 will include a posthumous contribution from Paul Newman. The veteran actor who voiced for the character  of Doc Hudson passed away nine years ago.

While the studio hasn’t officially announced his appearance in the sequel, Newman’s name is listed among the voice actors in the official Cars 3 cast. It is yet to be known if Pixar will use recycled dialogue from Cars (2006) or somehow interweave Newman lines that didn’t make into the previous film.

The voice cast also features Armie Hammer as Jackson Storm, Larry The Cable Guy as Mater, Bonnie Hunt as Sally Carrera, Cheech Marin as Ramone, and Michael Wallis as Sheriff.

Directed by Brian Fee, and produced by Kevin Reher and Andrea Warren, Cars 3 has music by thje Oscar-winning Randy Newman. The film is set for release next week.
