LONDON: A poster of the British football star David Beckham caused a stir in London's shopping area with numerous fans making the trip to look at it.

Thesun.co.uk reports that in the underwear campaign for Emporio Armani, the oiled up football star is reclining on a rope and sporting a slick side-parting to show the designer underwear.

One Beckham fan, 25-year old accountant Natalie Martin came from Clapham, South London and said: "I've just risked my job to get here but seeing David Beckham in his underwear is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Fans are going ga ga over Beckham's ad, but he said: "It's a bit embarrassing when the pictures are unveiled."
