Musician Anoushka Shankar’s wedding to filmmaker Joe Wright has reportedly ‘devastated’ his ex-fiancee, former Bond Girl Rosamund Pike. The ’Die Another Day’ star’s planned wedding to Wright two years ago was called off at the last minute.
Now the news that the Atonement director has secretly married and is expecting a child with his new wife Anoushka Shankar, has come as a blow to the actress. Wright, 37, married Anoushka, 29, in London last month with only close family and friends invited.
Anoushka, the daughter of sitar legend Ravi Shankar, is now pregnant. “Anoushka and Joe wanted a quiet affair with close family and friends. Rose was devastated when she found out as she hadn’t been told. It was different to the big wedding she had planned with Joe,” said a friend.
